Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Across Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to water supplies, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated assaults on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in providing air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty missiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were striving to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, according to municipal representatives.

Local officials said the city experienced intense attacks overnight. A young boy was killed and three other people were hurt.

The strikes come after evenings of bombing campaigns in the region, parts of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to spot.

Government officials told the media that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with assaults already affecting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and authorities were anticipating additional strikes.
